LinkedIn Learning is an award-winning industry leader in online training, contains a digital library of over 16,000 courses covering a wide range of technical, business, software, and creative topics, and is accessible 24/7 from a desktop or mobile device.
LinkedIn Learning is located within the SOU OKTA hub. During the account registration process, there is a voluntary option to connect to your existing LinkedIn Profile if desired.
Employees may select courses and videos most relevant to their learning journey and customize their experience by building a learning path that aligns with their job description, performance goals, and career aspirations. Managers and employees may create development plans as part of the performance review process that supports a workplace culture that fosters learning and development. Features allow for the bookmarking of courses that suit individual interests, keeping track of courses taken, and collecting a certificate when a course is completed.

Human Resources utilizes a compliance training company called SafeColleges (by Vector Solutions), and faculty and staff may receive emails from “@safecolleges.com” that contain a direct link to access this specific training platform (https://sou-or.safecolleges.com/). As a reminder, employees will need to enter their individual SOU assigned 94-number as the username and select the required course(s) for timely completion.
In addition to those assigned by offices of Human Resources, Equity Grievance, and Dean of Students, employees may also elect to take additional courses through this platform that are of interest to them.
